Ron Paul for Chief Justice (What? Too Late?)

I have a "Ron Paul for Chief Justice" sticker on my car and above my office desk at school.  Many people have asked me who Ron Paul is and why I'd want him as Chief Justice.  Ron Paul is a U.S. Representative from Texas, a former OB/GYN who is often called "Dr. No" because he votes against almost every bill in Congress.  He is my political hero.  Most of his fellow Republicans don't like him too much; they tried to redistrict him out of office but he won reelection anyway.  As far as I know, he is the only member of Congress who consistently stands against big federal budgets and high taxes and defends the entire Bill of Rights on principle.  He sees a big federal government as the problem, not the solution.  He voted against the USA PATRIOT Act and the invasion of Iraq, and he routinely votes against porked-out appropriation bills.  His weekly column, Texas Straight Talk, presents his honest opinions on current issues.  (Actually, I had the Ron Paul stickers before there were openings on the Court, so the timing was just a coincidence.)

Also above my desk is a sticker that says "If We Quit Voting WILL THEY ALL GO AWAY?"  As my favorite comedian Bill Hicks used to say, my hat is now in the political ring.
