In an infinite number of parallel universes, the bailout failed to pass and the Cubs swept the Dodgers. The Robs in those universes are very happy.

I guess the only reason it passed the second time was because the Dems were able to negotiate just enough incentives and call in just enough favors so that the new version would benefit them as much as it would the Republicans. I have yet to hear any mention of how the revised bill might be better for the economy or the tax payers- not to mention the government fails to acknowledge that it could have been their intervention in the market that caused much of the problem in the first place.
